A quick note on wedding attire. Basically, wear whatever you would like to wear, knowing that it will probably be quite hot, that you'll be spending time in grassy areas, and that you'll probably get roped into helping us set up before and clean up afterwards. I'll be wearing a knee-length white dress, and Brian's skipping the jacket and going with a nice shirt and bowtie.
Bring comfortable shoes - definitely not pointy heels, they'd get stuck
in the grass, and/or flipflops or something that you can change into. The
ceremony and BBQ are at the same place (short walk between them), and you'll want to be able to
sit at picnic tables, play botche ball and if we're
really lucky and its not windy, badminton. My brother Chuck may be picking around on his banjo, and my friends Brian and Emily (yes, those are really their
names) will be at the BBQ, probably with their guitar and fiddle. We're setting up a bunch of white chairs at the ceremony spot, and those will be available at the picnic area as well. If you want to bring a T-shirt and shorts to the site for a quick change, the neighbors have offered their house.
We're excited to see everyone!
